We are looking for introductions to private clinics, outpatient care providers and healthcare operations teams willing to evaluate Indrant in a pilot.
We want to validate high-volume phone workflows: missed calls, appointment booking, cancellations, rescheduling, reminders, waitlist filling and human escalation.
The most useful single introduction right now is to a multi-site clinic group willing to measure the revenue currently lost to unanswered calls.
Clinics and outpatient care providers are under increasing pressure from high call volumes, staffing shortages and front-desk peak loads. The phone remains one of the most important channels for patients to book, change or ask about appointments, but it is also one of the most fragile parts of the operation: calls are missed, patients call outside opening hours, cancellations are not always refilled quickly, and reception teams spend significant time on repetitive communication.
This creates missed appointments, empty calendar slots, higher workload, poorer reachability and a weaker patient experience. It is especially relevant for older, chronic, low-literacy or digitally excluded patients, who may not easily switch to apps or patient portals.
Indrant is an AI voice layer for clinic phone operations. It handles routine phone conversations, books and confirms appointments, manages cancellations and rescheduling, sends reminders, fills open slots from waiting lists and escalates complex or urgent cases to staff.
The solution works on top of existing phone numbers, calendars and workflows, so clinics can start without replacing their current systems. Every call is logged and summarised, with attention to human handover, consent, recording policies, GDPR, EU data residency and auditability.
The main use cases are: front-desk call handling, waitlist management and attendance management. The intended impact is fewer missed calls, more recovered bookings, fewer no-shows, fuller calendars, lower reception workload and better access for patients who still depend on voice communication.

Primary target users are private clinics, outpatient care providers and specialist practices with high phone volumes and limited front-desk capacity. The first focus is clinics where the phone is still a critical operational channel for booking, rescheduling, cancellations, reminders and patient follow-up.
Within these organisations, the direct users are reception teams, practice managers, clinic managers and operations leads. The indirect beneficiaries are patients, especially older patients, chronic patients, non-native speakers and people who are less comfortable using apps or patient portals.
The initial target group is small to mid-sized private clinics and outpatient centres in Portugal and the Netherlands, followed by larger clinic groups and hospitals once the model is validated. The target group will be involved through discovery interviews, live workflow mapping, controlled pilots, staff feedback, patient communication review and impact measurement on missed calls, recovered bookings, no-shows and reception workload.
Indrant contributes to lower healthcare costs by reducing the amount of staff time spent on repetitive phone work and by improving the use of existing clinic capacity. Missed calls, cancellations and no-shows create hidden operational costs: staff spend time calling patients back, appointments are lost, calendar gaps remain unfilled and patients may need to contact the clinic multiple times.
By answering calls, confirming appointments, handling rescheduling, sending reminders and filling open slots from waiting lists, Indrant helps clinics use their existing capacity more efficiently. The expected cost impact comes from lower administrative workload, fewer missed appointments, fewer unfilled slots, reduced no-shows and less need to add reception staff as call volumes grow.
The pilot will measure this through concrete operational indicators: number of calls answered, calls missed, appointments booked, cancellations refilled, no-shows reduced, staff time saved and revenue or capacity recovered.
Indrant will operate as a SaaS model for clinics and healthcare providers. The expected pricing model combines a monthly platform fee with usage-based pricing linked to call volume, minutes or number of handled interactions. This allows smaller clinics to start with a limited package and larger providers to scale based on actual operational use.
The cost structure includes telephony, AI voice infrastructure, hosting, integrations, monitoring, implementation and support. The product is designed to work with existing clinic phone numbers, calendars and workflows, reducing implementation cost and avoiding the need for a full system replacement.
In the first pilots, the commercial model may be structured as a fixed pilot fee or subsidised validation package. After validation, the recurring model will be based on clinic size, call volume and enabled use cases such as front-desk call handling, waitlist management and attendance management.
The main competition is the current manual process, plus emerging AI voice and virtual receptionist tools. Today, clinics typically rely on reception staff, voicemail, callback lists, outsourced call centres, online booking tools and manual waiting-list management. In the AI voice category, relevant competitors include general AI voice-agent platforms such as Synthflow, Retell AI and Goodcall, as well as healthcare-focused solutions such as Assort Health, NextLevel AI, Medical Office Force, ClearCall AI and similar AI medical receptionist tools. These tools show that the category is emerging, but many are US-focused, general-purpose, or not tailored to European clinic workflows, GDPR, multilingual access and local implementation needs.
Indrant differentiates by focusing specifically on European clinic phone operations: missed calls, appointment booking, cancellations, rescheduling, waiting-list filling, reminders, human handover, audit logs and compliance-first deployment. Indrant reduces healthcare costs by automating repetitive phone workflows that do not require clinical judgement. Savings can be made through lower reception workload, fewer missed calls, fewer no-shows, better calendar utilisation and reduced need for additional front-desk or call-centre capacity.
Indrant is innovative because it applies AI voice specifically to the operational gaps in clinics and outpatient care. It does not require patients to download an app, use a portal or change behaviour: they can call the same clinic number. The system can answer immediately, book or reschedule appointments, confirm attendance, call patients from a waiting list when a slot opens, and escalate complex or urgent cases to staff.
The innovation combines three elements: real-time AI voice interaction, workflow automation and operational reporting. It is designed to work with existing clinic phone numbers, calendars and workflows, while adding audit logs, summaries, human handover and compliance controls for healthcare settings. The social innovation is that voice remains available as an inclusive channel for older, chronic, digitally excluded or non-native-speaking patients.
Indrant does not currently rely on patented technology. The protectable assets are the Indrant brand, product design, workflow logic, healthcare-specific prompts, conversation flows, implementation playbooks, datasets generated through pilots, operational benchmarks and proprietary know-how around safe AI voice deployment in clinic workflows.
The company may pursue trademark protection for the Indrant name and further IP protection where appropriate as the product matures.
Indrant is expected to develop as a specialised healthtech SaaS company for AI-enabled clinic communication operations. In the first phase, it will remain a lean team of 2–4 people covering product, technical development, healthcare operations, implementation and business development.
After pilot validation, the organisation is expected to grow to around 8–15 people, with dedicated roles in product/engineering, customer success, compliance/security, sales and partnerships. Indrant will not operate as a healthcare provider, but as a technology layer supporting clinics with routine phone-based workflows and human handover where needed.
The first pilot will be conducted with a small number of outpatient clinics to validate the solution in real operational workflows. The pilot will focus on routine phone interactions, including appointment booking, cancellations, rescheduling, reminders and waiting-list management. Success will be measured through operational KPIs such as missed calls answered, reception workload, appointments recovered, no-shows reduced, patient satisfaction and staff feedback.
No formal pilot partners have been confirmed yet. We are currently working with healthcare innovation ecosystems, including Health Holland, EIT Health, Health Cluster Portugal and TEF-Health, to identify suitable pilot sites. We are seeking private clinics and outpatient healthcare providers willing to validate the solution in a real clinical environment.
Indrant will be implemented through a phased rollout, starting with a small number of pilot clinics. Each implementation begins with workflow mapping, configuration of the clinic’s phone flows, knowledge base and scheduling process, followed by staff training and a controlled go-live. Performance will be monitored continuously, with iterative improvements based on staff and patient feedback before scaling to additional clinics. The solution is designed to integrate with existing phone numbers and operational workflows, minimising disruption and implementation effort.
Not yet in production. Indrant has a working prototype and is currently seeking its first pilot clinics in the Netherlands to validate operational impact, usability and implementation in real healthcare environments.

Following validation, Indrant will expand from phone automation to a broader AI platform for clinic communication operations. Planned capabilities include integration with EHR and practice management systems, multilingual support, outbound campaigns, intelligent call routing, patient messaging, analytics dashboards and workflow automation. While the initial focus is private clinics, the platform is designed to scale to hospitals, diagnostic centres, dental clinics and other outpatient healthcare providers.
Indrant is being built as a European solution from day one. The initial focus is Portugal and the Netherlands, followed by expansion into other European markets facing similar challenges around healthcare workforce shortages and patient accessibility. The platform is designed to support multiple languages and comply with European requirements, including GDPR and the AI Act.
