Building upon the groundbreaking achievements of Planetary Health Annual Meeting (PHAM) 2024 in Malaysia, we are delighted to announce the upcoming PHAM in Rotterdam, themed “Planetary Health for All and In All: Boosting Urgency and Agency for Systems Change." This prestigious event will bring together esteemed speakers from across the globe, offering a rich tapestry of opportunities for attendees. Participants can look forward to cutting-edge scientific presentations, integration of arts, extensive networking opportunities, and engaging social events.  As we continue the vital work initiated at PHAM 2024, this year's meeting promises to be a pivotal gathering for the global planetary health community, with special attention for the crucial role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in innovation for sustainability. What is the Planetary Health Annual Meeting?

The Planetary Health Annual Meeting
Held every 18 months, the Planetary Health Annual Meeting aims to connect the global Planetary Health community, seek solutions for the grand challenges facing humanity, and provide tools and drivers to support systemic change. Its past six events have brought together thousands of leaders from over 130 countries in gatherings held in the United States, Scotland, Brazil, and Malaysia. Recognizing the key role that Europe plays in Planetary Health challenges and solutions, PHAM 2025 will be held in Rotterdam, Netherlands! The Netherlands is proud to be the host of PHAM 2025 with the theme of Planetary Health for All and In All: Boosting urgency and agency for systems change, led by Erasmus School of Health Policy and Management of the Erasmus University Rotterdam.

The theme of PHAM 2025
The theme of PHAM 2025 is Planetary Health for All and In All: Boosting urgency and agency for systems change. The vision is to move beyond current achievements as a planetary health community. The aim is to bridge the gap on relevant themes discussed in previous meetings such as the regenerative approach, green transition, trans-disciplinarity, and diversity and inclusion. Our goal is to offer concrete solutions and practical insights while fostering networking for meaningful knowledge-sharing across different sectors. This will enable dialogue, debates and discussions on innovative areas and topics, leading to real-world transdisciplinary actions including integration among different sectors, views, and interests.

SME program track
PHAM 2025 will pay special attention to the innovation chain from research to viable business models for planetary health solutions and the conditions needed. The crucial role that small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) play in developing successful business models is highlighted in the SME program track. This will focus on various sectors in planetary health, such as health, agriculture, tourism, finance, manufacturing, etc. The SME program track consists of roundtables and sessions before and during the conference, lunch sessions, speed dates and a Knowledge & Innovation exhibition floor.
