From concept to care: Medtech innovations that land
Technical and digital healthcare solutions are on the rise. But how can you assess whether your innovation truly adds value for the patient, healthcare professional, and society? Being promising on paper isn’t sufficient. Healthcare needs solutions that demonstrate their effectiveness, are affordable, and are sustainable. During this event from MedTech Twente, we will focus on value-driven technology for healthcare and explore how to make the added value of your innovation visible at an early stage. You will leave with concrete tools, expert insights, and practical experience.

About value-driven care (innovation)
A transition in healthcare is necessary to ensure that everyone can receive the care they need. The goal is to maintain good, accessible, and affordable care for the future. We capture this under the term “appropriate care.”
One of the basic principles of appropriate care is that it is “value-driven.” To achieve this, care must be demonstrably effective, making optimal use of people, resources, and materials. But how do you determine what works and what doesn’t? How can you measure whether something is effective? Effectiveness studies reveal which care offers more value to the patient and which is no longer applicable. This knowledge is crucial, especially considering rising healthcare spending and the impending scarcity in the labor market. Additionally, the demand for care is becoming increasingly complex, and various new medical technologies are emerging (source:ZonMw).
